Biography:
Greg, the Director of Outdoor Recreation for Five Rivers MetroParks, grew up canoeing the spring-fed rivers of Missouri and northern Arkansas which led to his interests in whitewater and sea kayaking, mountain biking and snowboarding. Before co-founding Five Rivers Outdoors, MetroParks outdoor recreation initiative in 2005, Greg worked as the director of business development at the Nantahala Outdoor Center. He is the founder of the Asheville Mountain Sports Festival and is the former director of the Bank of American Whitewater Kids Club. Prior to starting his outdoor career, Greg spent nearly 20 years leading product management and marketing groups in several high technology sectors.
