Biography:

Bruce Clevenger may have taught more people to paddle kayaks than any other instructor in the Midwest.  Over the years he has developed some effective and often times hilarious techniques for getting kayaks to obey.  Bruce has been a featured speaker at many seminars and paddling events and takes pleasure in teaching the timid, reluctant and unsure just how easy recreational kayaking can be.  "I'll never forget the very first time I pushed off from shore in a kayak" says Bruce.  "I felt a connection and sense of belonging to the waters I'd never known before and it returns every time I paddle."  Lately Bruce has been smitten with kayak fishing and now sees leaping bass in his sleep. While still an active instructor, he is a regional manager for Native and Heritage Kayaks along with Astral PFD's.
